From the 31st July 2023 to 4th August 2023 at Karamsar centre, Ilford, Every Day 10am to 5pm. By the end of the camp they completed Grade 1 in 5 days. They learnt :
• Raag: Mood of the Shabad (sacred hymn).
• Taal: A rhythmic cycle in Kirtan.
• Terminology: Specific words and phrases used in musicology.
• Musicology: The academic study of music.
• Santhia: The process of learning and understanding the Shabad (sacred hymn) in Sikh music.
• Bow divisions for the Dilruba: Techniques for using the bow on the Dilruba, a string instrument.
